Marble moved forward, placing her hands on her hips, a cross look on her face. She eyed the guard in return, and to the rest of those watching, it could be imagined that a spark would light between the two, as Marble's glare and the guard's piercing eyes met.
"Away from you," came the girl's amused response, though there was no doubt of seriousness in her tone. She had been expecting this, after all.

There was the hiss of steel as one of the guards began to pull his blade out of the scabbard, only to stop with a sigh as the leader shook his head at him. With a grumble, he made his way past the girl and observed the road ahead, looking back at the other two men.
"Check the housing, make sure he didn't leave the village..." He said, the soldiers nodding and making their way to the nearest buildings...the leader glaring at the group for a few more seconds before joining in the search.
When they were gone, Garret took a step forward and looked on over at the inn where the man had gone to sleep. "...let's hope they don't check there," He muttered half-heartedly.

But at hearing his words, Marble shot off towards the inn, hands rocketing into her coat and then back down, two curved long swords being drawn from their scabbards, both carved with a half-moon like design along the inner edge of the blade. Upon arriving at the door, Marble skid to the left, and hid around the left corner, swords poised.

"Oi, wai- Gah..." Garret's outstretched hand fell back to his side as Marble ran off without a word, heading towards the inn...geez, she was sure to desperate to help this guy out.
----
Talking could be heard from within the inn, the innkeeper beginning to shout in anger.
"You can't just come in here and start looking about! I promise you we have nothing to hide, and you'll frighten the guests if you start barging into room!"
The soldier's voice soon followed, "...sir, please, give us 10 minutes at the most and I promise you there will be no damage,"
A heavy sigh followed, followed the clink of a key being tossed over to the soldier, "...8 minutes, don't touch a thing..."
"...thank you, sir," The soldier replied with a sigh of his own, and soon the rhythmical clunking of his boots thumping up the stairs could be heard.
----
"Hello..."
Nearly jumping out of his skin at the sudden voice, Garret turned about to see a young man standing behind the group...or well, he wasn't really sure what this guy was.
The boy's hair was a pearly white, and a tattered mess...falling over his dull gray eyes. His skin was just as white as his hair, he almost looked like a ghost you could say and the expression on his face showed a fair bit of exhaustion, as though he hadn't slept for days. He wore a simple, rather raggedy shirt and pants as well...his boots dull and faded.
The only thing that wasn't falling apart on him was the sword strapped to his back. With a golden hilt that seemed to shimmer in the sun, an odd blue jewel placed in the center, and a spec-free blade that only had one or two visible nicks to it.
"...what in the world..." Garret muttered to himself, taking a step away from the figure, the boy simply taking another step towards them.
"...where may I find the Manis who was just here?"

"I'm...I'm looking for a..." The boy stumbled over words, pronouncing others wrong, it was like he hardly knew how to speak, "...a specific one,"
It was odd, how he didn't seem to particularly care that the boy was a Mani...but well, nothing about this guy was normal.

*The young man watched at the woman ran towards the inn, drawing her swords in the process*
"Uh oh..."
*He wasn't sure if he would be of any help in a fight, but he knew that the woman was just trying to help the Manis from before. He was about to move when he heard another voice coming from behind him*
"Huh?..."
*He turned his head to see another figure that looked more like a ghost than anything else. It seemed that he was looking for the Manis as well.*
"Ugh..."
*He wasn't sure of what to do for a few moments until he looked up to see the young woman holding her swords...*
"..."
*Without saying a word, he quickly followed her towards the inn, thinking in the meantime of what would happen...*

"Leave him," The boy spoke with a wave of the hand, watching as another member of the group ran off towards the nearby inn, approaching an odd girl standing at the door...armed with two blades.
"Hmm..." He raised an eyebrow, trying to stay out of sight and see what would happen.
----
The innkeeper could be heard cursing from within, and suddenly the door creaked open and he poked his head out, looking towards Marble and the young man, "...oh geez, not more...you two coming in to wreck my inn as well?"

The girl, however, did not reply, and simply remained poised, every muscle in her body frozen as though in stone. She was waiting, waiting.. to see if those guards would find anything. Even if they did, or didn't, the result would be the same.
No guard member would be alive once they passed through the inn's front door.

"...bunch of weirdos," The man muttered before slamming the door and heading back into the inn. The soldiers' voices could be heard from the upper floor, their boots thumping across the wooden floor as they ran...the footsteps got louder as they headed down the stairs, and with a crash the front door flew open and two of the soldiers emerged...back to Nathan and Marble.
----
"Keep an eye on the guards," The boy muttered to his companion, still not reaching for his blade.

"Yes, sir." The man looked at the two brothers before turning back to his duty.

As soon as their torsos emerged through the door, Marble's hands fired outward, the twin blades stabbing the chest of one, and then the other, at lightning speed, before the girl dashed inside, screaming loudly.. a sort of war cry.

The innkeeper let out a frightened yelp as the girl burst into the room, getting a look at her blood-caked blade before ducking under his desk.
Going up the stairs, she'd see that most of the rooms were already open...some of the doors knocked right off their hinges. Seemed like the guards didn't know their own strength, as some of the doors splintered in two. A few of the residents poked their heads out of their rooms, staring at the odd woman.
The only door that didn't have a person standing with mouth agape however was the second one on the right, perhaps that was the Mani's?
----
The boy watched as the woman killed the two guards without hesitation, hmm...
"Come, we're following her," The boy said, looking over his shoulder at his guardian as he made his way towards the inn.

"Hey!...Hold on..."
*The figure ran in after the young woman dispatched the two guards, following her closely as he thought about what she was trying to do*
"...I can help."
